13:2 He did evil in the sight of ¹  the Lord. He continued in ²  the sinful ways of Jeroboam son of Nebat who had encouraged Israel to sin; he did not repudiate those sins. ³

10:29 However, Jehu did not repudiate the sins which Jeroboam son of Nebat had encouraged Israel to commit; the golden calves remained in Bethel ⁴  and Dan. ⁵ 

2 Raja-raja 17:20-23

17:20 So the Lord rejected all of Israel’s descendants; he humiliated ⁶  them and handed them over to robbers, until he had thrown them from his presence. 17:21 He tore Israel away from David’s dynasty, and Jeroboam son of Nebat became their king. ⁷  Jeroboam drove Israel away ⁸  from the Lord and encouraged them to commit a serious sin. ⁹  17:22 The Israelites followed in the sinful ways of Jeroboam son of Nebat and did not repudiate ¹⁰  them. 17:23 Finally ¹¹  the Lord rejected Israel ¹²  just as he had warned he would do ¹³  through all his servants the prophets. Israel was deported from its land to Assyria and remains there to this very day.
